Opening adventure park Harderwijk a fact
Posted on Friday 19 July 2019
On Thursday, July 18, the Harderwijk Adventure Park at Boekhorstlaan was opened by alderman van Bijsteren and mayor van Schaijk in the presence of more than 80 invited guests. The adventure park is a unique concept that cannot be found anywhere else in the Netherlands. In his speech, the mayor emphasised that the activities are an asset to both the tourists and the inhabitants of the region. "In an area where years ago we would not have paid a euro for, there will soon be a unique concept in the Netherlands where the
Adventurepark Harderwijk is a major contribution."
Erik Kroon, owner and initiator of the adventure park, describes it as the new outdoor concept. The location is the starting point for various activities, not only here at Boekhorstlaan, but also outside. Kroon continues: "You can explore the Veluwe and the inner city directly from this location with unique means of transport. You can also choose to go climbing and zip-lining in the climbing forest. Not only the activities, but also the location is unique. It is centrally located and easily accessible. In combination with the restaurants, which are still being built, you have everything you need for a fun day out here."
After the mayor's fine words, the councillor climbed to a height of 16 metres to officially mark the opening. He did this by jumping down (Free Fall). Of course safely, but with the necessary adrenaline, he managed to land on the centre spot of the park and so the Adventurepark Harderwijk was officially put into use. Afterwards, those present could test activities and network while enjoying a snack and a drink.
