National Climbing Day at Klimbos Garderen on March 23: climbing in and for nature.

Posted on Friday, March 15, 2024

On March 23, climbing forests are in the spotlight throughout the Netherlands. On this day, we festively underline the importance of forests and promote fun and exercise in nature for everyone!

To make an impact together, 16 climbing forests in the Netherlands have teamed up and created the second edition of the National Climbing Forest Day. The aim is to let more people experience the benefits of nature in a unique, playful way and to draw attention to the conservation and importance of forests. It also marks the start of the climbing season!

Accessible to all

To make exercise in nature possible for everyone, the entrance fee will be reduced to €17.50 per person instead of €24.95. In addition, we donate €1.00 per climber to Trees for All, which is used to plant trees in areas where they are badly needed. In Klimbos Garderen you will find courses for all levels. You can climb as young as 4 years old, but you'll also find the highest course in the Netherlands at 25 meters, for the real daredevils!

Give the forest a hand: tree by tree

Bart Nooteboom, who works at Klimbos Garderen about the partnership: "On National Climbos Day, we aim to let people experience nature in a playful way, and in doing so, also show how essential it is to take care of our forests. In collaboration with Trees for All, which plants trees worldwide, we are committed to increasing forest awareness and conservation. We are looking forward to a great Klimbos Day!"
