Klimbos Garderen has set up a special partnership with the Forestry Commission.
The plot where the climbing forest is located belongs to the Forestry Commission, so we are very proud of the final result.
The goal of Staatsbosbeheer is to let people enjoy nature more, in different (active) ways. A climbing forest is a perfect example of this', says Staatsbosbeheer.
A new feature of the Klimbos in Garderen is the educational displays hung in the grounds. Not at normal height, but, you guessed it, suspended in the course.
Participants who are climbing are then educated about the nature they are seeing at that moment. The various bird boxes also give a better idea of what is going on in the Veluwe.
There is a questionnaire for the children to fill in later so that the education is combined with the climbing. Klimbos Garderen offers various school trip packages and has put together an educational programme for the youngest in collaboration with the tree garden and Landgoed Schovenhorst. Klimbos Garderen 's total experience of nature, including education, is unique in its kind.
