If you have been to the ticket office to have your ticket scanned, you have the opportunity to store your personal belongings in lockers, which we provide free of charge. There is also the possibility to make use of the toilet. Then you will be called to put on the climbing harness. This is done under the supervision of our instructors who will tell you exactly tell you exactly how to put on the climbing harness. The instructor will then check whether you have done this correctly. After this you will get an explanation about the climbing, the different courses and with which materials you can undertake certain activities. After the explanation you go over our 'practice course' for a while and then you head for the starting point of the courses. Here you connect to our exploglider system which secures you at all times and the climbing can begin! begin! You have 2 hours to climb.

The ExpoGlider system is a safety system where the lifeline is attached from the first point you go up. During the course it is attached to the steel cable above the elements. Only at the end of the course can it be disconnected again. This way, you are continuously secured during the climbing activity and you only have to manoeuvre the ExpoGlider through the bends. There is no need to uncouple and uncouple during climbing, like the authentic system.

A block takes 2.5 hours including instruction. The instruction including putting on the materials takes about half an hour. So you have at least 2 hours to climb.

No, after the instructions you choose the course you want to start with. You have 2 hours and the possibility to do several courses.

Should you decide not to climb, your entry fee will not be refunded. If you are halfway down the course and don't know how to continue, our experienced instructors will give you tips and help you as best they can.

Easy-fitting clothing is desired, without loose strings. Dense footwear is required, i.e. no flip-flops or sandals. Long hair should be worn in a ponytail under the helmet. Jewelry must be taken off beforehand.

Yes you can! You can easily make a reservation on the day of the climb, here you can also check the availability of your desired time. You can also call 085-0645246 to check whether there is still room. Do this at least 2 hours before you want to climb!

Yes, there is a chance that you will have to wait a long time before it is your turn. We recommend that you check our reservation system in advance to see if there is any room left.

In this quarter of an hour you can store your things in a locker and use the toilet so that you are actually ready to start at the starting time.

Damage to clothing is at your own risk. This also applies to your glasses, for example: we therefore advise you to bring sports glasses or to make sure that there is a cord attached to your glasses. Please note: you will be climbing in a forest, where the trees can give off resin! Take this into account when choosing your clothes.

If you are physically fit, you should be able to handle our routes. You will receive instructions beforehand so that you can take on the challenge step by step. Don't hesitate to ask our instructors how you can overcome an obstacle more easily. We are here to help you!

Yes, climbing is possible in many weather conditions. The forest is extra protected. Only when safety is at risk, for example during thunderstorms or strong gusts of wind, can a decision be made in consultation to cancel the climbing or move the appointment. No, you are not allowed to climb in our climbing forest if you are pregnant, regardless of the number of weeks.

Yes, for safety reasons we have a maximum weight of 120 kg.

No, this is not allowed. Everyone who wants to climb has to make a reservation and pay. It is not allowed to change belts in the meantime, so that someone else can climb as well.

Questions about climbing with children


At Klimbos Harderwijk we do not apply an age limit. The rule is that you must be at least 1.20 metres tall and weigh no more than 120 kg.

Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult when climbing. For more information, see our regulations.

Children under 13 are only allowed to climb if accompanied by an adult. An adult is someone who is 13 years or older.

Each adult may accompany a maximum of 3 children.

Yes, this is possible! If the 14-year old doesn't dare go any further, this also means that the 10-year old cannot go any further. As a parent, you are required to be present in our climbing forest.

Yes, you can! When you book online you have the option to book a children's party. There are various options that you can book, such as a can of lemonade, crisps, ice cream or chips. Please note that children under 13 must always be accompanied by an adult.

Questions about climbing with a group


Yes, otherwise there is a good chance that you will not be able to climb together and that the group will have to enter the climbing forest spread out over the day. For groups, you must pay in advance by iDEAL or bank transfer.

It is best to make reservations for as many people as possible for the block in which you want to start. The remaining number can then be booked in the next block. So you have to make two reservations. When you have made a reservation, you can let us know by e-mail that you are coming all at once and would like to start at the same time. We will then instruct you and have you put on your harnesses in groups.

At least 7 days before climbing we would like to know the final number of persons. After that this cannot be changed and the number of persons passed on by you will be calculated. Read the general conditions for more information.

Yes, you can. On Bedrijfsfeest.nl you will find various programmes that can be combined with the climbing forest. SOS Events is the owner of Klimbos Harderwijk and can therefore easily think along with you. The easiest way is to contact SOS Events directly, they will make a total reservation with the climbing and the other activity(ies).

Yes, that is very easy! Because Klimbos Harderwijk, together with the Veluwe Specialist, is part of Adventurepark Harderwijk. The Veluwe Specialist is the neighbour of the climbing forest and you can therefore organise a complete outing with climbing and for example E-chopper driving or a cosy tandem tour.

Questions about facilities


People who do not climb can always walk along and watch the climbers. There are paths through the forest from where you can see and mentally support the climbers.

Using your own climbing equipment is not allowed. For safety reasons, it is compulsory to wear our climbing harnesses.

Yes, we provide these free of charge.

Yes, there is a toilet in our park.

No, this is not permitted. In the climbing forest, soft drinks, water, energy drinks, coffee/tea, snacks and crisps are available. When you book a children's party, this is included in the package.

No, there is only a possibility to change clothes in the toilet.

Dogs are allowed provided that:
- they are on a leash;
- someone always stays with the dog;
- the dog poop is cleaned up;
- the dog does not cause a nuisance.

If the rules are not followed, the staff is authorized to evict the dog and owner from the park without refund.

Questions about payment, prices & discounts


Only those who go climbing have to pay. The park is freely accessible for spectators: there are picnic tables and enough space to take nice pictures! If you have made a reservation but decide not to go up or down in the park, unfortunately it is not possible to get a refund.

No, Klimnastiek gives you a discount on the entrance fee in the first block of the day.

No, Klimnastiek gives you a discount on the price of admission and cannot be used in conjunction with other discount offers.

When you book online you must also pay online. If you do not do so, the reservation is not saved and does not appear in our system. This means that your reservation is not completed. If you are unable to pay online, you can do so by telephone and we will enter the reservation into our system.

You can pay in the climbing forest only with PIN.

Transaction fees are the costs that must be made to achieve a transaction by iDEAL (or another online banking module). Klimbos Harderwijk charges 2% transaction fees per transaction with a maximum of €3.99.

We have a large car park where you can park free of charge.

It is never possible to book tickets for special offers by telephone; you must arrange this entirely online. Go to the website indicated by the saving campaign and make your reservation there. The available times shown here are the only times that are possible with these tickets. If you want to climb at other times, you cannot make use of the saving campaign.
